This was a very enjoyable book, the first half was very SLOW, I put it down twice and then started it again. It took way to long to get the story really started. The connection between Dex and Kate was amazing. The part I didn't like *SPOILER HERE* was her acceptance of his deceit and betrayal, yes at first she was mad but more so at her father than at Dex, even when she found him at Club Desire she just fell right back into his lap. No anger at him no nothing.... I fell for Dex in the first book so I am glad he found his HEA but I really expected a bit more story line, there was so many ways it could have gone but flat wasn't what I was expecting. A little more Drama or suspense would have been nice.I am looking forward to the next book in the series and hope it keeps going. I really enjoy multiple books set within a scene such as Club Desire.

Dex Alexander, FBI agent, goes undercover to the Dungeon, a BDSM sex club in LA, in hopes of getting close to Kate Fretwell. Kate is a submissive to high-end Hollywood types, and Dex wants to find out if she is involved in the terrorist activity they believe some of her dom's are involved in. Dex is a dom at a Phoenix club called Club Desire-a club he co-owns. It's a rather envious job, especially when he meets Kate and the sparks fly!
Kate, being a tech expert, is constantly working in graphic design on her clients web pages. It's not glamorous, but it's better than being under her father's thumb! She is an independent woman and takes no crap from anyone. When Kate meets Master Dex she is just about to let an overbearing dom have it. He was bullying his way into playing with Kate and she proved she is no doormat! When Master Dex asks for her to give him a tour of the club, she's grateful to get away from that awful dom. Once Dex and Kate have a moment to talk, both are unprepared for the connection they share.
As the investigation ramps up, so does the excitement of this book! I really enjoyed it! Dex has to find out Kate's involvement before she is hurt. Time is of the essence and I loved the ramp-up! Dex and Kate's chemistry is super-spicy and I enjoyed watching their romance bloom! Dex is so good with Kate and she's getting an eye-opening as to how a real dom is supposed to be with a sub. The only issue I had with with book is the ending. We get the answers way after they took place-not as they are happening. When it is explained, we aren't given many details and it's just glossed over. After reading all the way to the end, it was disappointing. I definitely would still recommend reading My Addiction! I look forward to the next book in the series as we are given snippets of what to expect. I also hope we get an update on Dex and Kate as well!

This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for the express purpose of an honest review. The review and rating are solely my opinion.
I am going to come right out and warn everyone that this book defiantly isn’t for anyone who is A) easily offended by BDSM lifestyle and B) people who are easily offended by graphic details about flogging, nipple play, voyeurism, public sex, ball gags and caning. If you are offended by this….hit the back button and head to my next review. If you are easily offended and keep on reading this review….well, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I absolutely loved how this book balanced BDSM and regular life. Unlike other books that I have read in this genre, the sex takes 2nd place to the storyline and I loved that. I have read books in this genre that once the sex was introduced, the storyline went out the window. So it was very refreshing to see that the storyline was kept up once the BDSM scenes started (which was fairly early in the book).
I really liked Kate. She was definitely was one of those heroines who didn’t take jack from anyone. I think the scenes where she stood up to Stanton (ie punched him in the junk) and when she finally told her father off was great and I thought it definitely showed off how spunky she was.
The attraction that she had to Dex was instantaneous and I loved the flogging scene. Now, normally I am not into that stuff but the way it was written and the way Dex and Kate discussed her soft and hard limits definitely piqued my interest. And how he took care of her afterwards was great and did show what kind of guy he was.
Dex is my new book boyfriend. He is hot and cares about his woman/Sub (and his past Sub’s). The only thing that I didn’t like was that he couldn’t tell her that he was investigating her and that he was FBI. It killed him and when she found out….it definitely killed her.
The subplot with the money laundering, the terrorists, the Dungeon and its clients was OK and it was resolved in a satisfactory way. Well, except that poor Kate got hurt.
The sex scenes between Kate and Dex were hot, hot, hot. They lit the pages on fire!!
The ending was good and the epilogue was great. I can’t wait to see if they are going to be mentioned in book 3 (if there is a book 3).

This. book blew me away- is a story way beyond my expectations. I enjoyed every single word and loved the ending. Looking forward to lots more to come.
This was a great read and I like how the stories whine up being a happily ever after ending. Fantastic and I'm looking forward to more reads like this.
This is a story of how love can bring two people together even under difficult circumstances. He might have to lie about who he is but not where he does truly care for her. Great story and well written. Very hot.
