This book has many angles, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. There is humor, romance, passion, danger, sadness, despair, frustration-the writer did a very good job combining it all. Travis Ryland is a hard man, he calls himself a killer and he has a fearful reputation. Katherine Simmons is a schoolteacher from back east who has "inherited" a saloon; she has come west to try and sell the saloon but doesn't want to leave the "girls' in a lurch. Katherine has a soft touch for the downtrodden. She and Travis wind up running from a mob bent on hanging Travis. Travis tries to distance himself from Katherine and he isn't nice while doing it. Katherine is stubborn and determined to help prove his innocence which winds up including her when she attempts to help him steal a horse. Without knowledge of even which direction is east, she miraculously saves Travis's life, learns to use a knife, gun and even ride a horse. Of course, this doesn't come without cost to Travis's well being when she drags him through the woods, accidentally pushes him over an incline or seeks help at a brothel and he winds up getting tied to the bed so he won't escape. The passion between the two is well done with great love scenes. I heartily recommend this book.Product details

I really enjoyed this book, full of wit, humour, romance and mystery with characters you can relate to. Well worth adding to your bookshelf.
It is so witty. I loved it. I liked the unconventional characters. Unlike some books that focus on descriptive sex scenes, this one focuses on the feelings and love. l'm going to read other books of hers for sure.
A very good read. It was never boring. Will keep your interest to the very end.
What a treat! This Diamond Wildflower Historical Romance was printed in 1994 and the paperback copy I received was "mint" and a first edition. Words cannot express my delight while reading this brazen Lois Greiman tale... blood-tingling, love-curdling, loin-jostling, funnybone-exciting and 100 percent fulfilling to the very last drop! If it was re-released in paperback in 2008, I'd give it 5 stars.
